Grand Designs: The Streets viewers were left completely baffled after one woman who was leading the build of her own home was told to colour in her windows with a felt pen.
Gareth and Nicola were featured on the show as they designed and built their dream home in York. The pair had purchased a plot of land and decided to create their own home to try and avoid expensive house prices.
Clever Nicola designed their home with a pencil and paper and no architectural experience. One part of her home she envisioned was a feature window but viewers watched on as she hit a snag as it arrived and did not fit, writes The Examiner Live.
Speaking to the camera, Kevin told the show that Nicola had put months into the planning of the window for the project, which was filmed in March last year.Nicola was really not happy when the window arrived and the black frame had white bits on it.
