Graeme Souness warns Erik ten Hag over Manchester United's playing style

Former Liverpool player Graeme Souness has suggested that Manchester United supporters will not stand by Erik ten Hag's 'pragmatic' style for long.

United won their fourth successive match when they defeated Arsenal 3-1 on Sunday afternoon, thanks to a debut goal from Antony and a brace from Marcus Rashford.

Ten Hag's men moved up to fifth in the Premier League table with that win, with United having recorded wins over Liverpool, Southampton and Leicester prior to the triumph at the weekend. "If you beat Liverpool, everything in the garden seems rosy again," he said. "I think they're playing in a pragmatic way now, they're not playing in the Manchester United way.

"They've been impressive because they've shown a togetherness to win games and when the going got tough at the start of that second half, they dug in.
