The Home Office has warned travellers that they could face “disruption” when entering the UK on Wednesday, March 15 due to Border Force strikes.The Public and Commercial Services (PCS) union has announced industrial action lasting until around 7am on March 16.
International arrivals at all UK air and maritime ports are set to be impacted, along with those travelling to the UK from UK border controls in Calais, Dunkirk and Coquelles in Northern France.
The walkouts will also impact goods entering the UK as well. The strike action could lead to “longer wait times” at border control, the Home Office said.
Passengers are told to check the latest travel advice with operators before they embark on their journey and those who are eligible should use eGates where possible.
