Amanda Holden discusses her relationship with Les Dennis after speaking of ‘dark time’

The Britain’s Got Talent judge married comedian Les Dennis in 1995, but five years later endured a very public separation, after her affair with co-star Neil Morrisey.The five week long fling had begun whilst filming together on the set of the BBC film, Happy Birthday Shakespeare, but ultimately lead to the downfall of Amanda’s marriage.
Although they briefly reconciled, they announced they had split for good in 2002. Amanda was 24 when she married Les, who was 42 at the time.
Speaking about the age gap in an interview with The Times, the mum-of-two was asked whether had been looking for a sort of father figure in Les.
