The former Gossip Girl actress, who was thought to be "missing", has slammed the outrageous claims about her disappearance. Chanel Maya Banks, known for her role as Sawyer Bennett on the iconic show, took to Instagram with a clear message that she is very much alive and kicking.

In her latest post, the 36 year old actress is seen getting glam-ready, cheekily announcing, "As you can see, I am alive. Interview loading." Captioning her video with a sassy note, "I heard you were looking for me, now what?" Chanel also threw shade at certain family members using #dumbanddumber.This social media update follows a tumultuous period when her cousin and mother publicly expressed their concerns after not hearing from her for two weeks, initiating a frantic search.

Although they accused Chanel's husband of being uncooperative in the search efforts, the drama has since quietened with Chanel's online reassurance.

Chanel, who has also graced the screen in Blue Bloods, became the subject of a now-defunct GoFundMe page set up by Danielle-Tori Singh aimed at finding her, which even contemplated hiring a private investigator.
