Gossip Girl actress Chanel Maya Banks is reportedly "still missing", according to her cousin Danielle-Tori Singh, who has stated that the woman found in Texas was not the star.The American actress, known for her role as Sawyer Bennett in the popular drama, sparked worry when she disappeared two weeks ago.

After Chanel hadn't been seen or heard from since 30 October, a search was initiated by her family, which allegedly ended today (13 November) when the Los Angeles Police Department reported finding her "safe and sound" in Texas.

However, despite the case seemingly being closed, her cousin Danielle-Tori took to Facebook to urge people: "Please don't stop looking for my cousin." In a post shared on Wednesday, 13 November, Danielle-Tori responded to reports of Chanel's discovery, accusing TMZ - who first reported the news - of "reporting fake news." Later, in a video, she revealed that she had seen the bodycam footage and heard audio from the Texas encounter.

After viewing this, Danielle-Tori claimed the person in the footage was "1,000% not Chanel". The individual found in Texas had, according to Danielle-Tori, a "ten-year-old expired New York city driver's license with her name and date of birth.", reports the Mirror.
