Gorka Marquez said he was 'excited' as he made an announcement on his Strictly Come Dancing future - and it is good news for fans.
The dancer has confirmed that he'll be heading back to the ballroom later this year when the BBC One dance contest returns. The news was originally announced by the BBC on Monday (June 10) with Gorka named among the 18-strong professional dancer line-up ahead of the hit show returning this autumn.
The professional dancers who will be returning to Strictly alongside Gorka are Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Graziano Di Prima, Karen Hauer, Amy Dowden, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Luba Mushtuk, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas and Vito Coppola. Notably, Giovanni Pernice was not among the names confirmed. He has been a part of the dancing show since 2015 when he reached the grand final with Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote.
