His most memorable role came in 1990 as Paul Cicero in Martin Scorcese's mobster masterpiece. Fans will also remember him in Baz Luhrmann's 1996 hit Romeo + Juliet as Fulgencio Capulet and Henry Kissinger in 1995's Nixon.
His publicist Roger Neal said he died Monday morning in Indiana of natural causes. His death comes just months after the tragic death of his Goodfellas co-star Ray Liotta.
