Good Morning Britain star Sean Fletcher has taken to social media to share the heartbreaking news that his family suffered a tragic loss whilst he was working away from home when his dog Meg was tragically killed in a road accident after escaping the house. The 48-year-old television presenter detailed on his Instagram page that he found out shortly before doing a live show the same evening and explained losing his pet pooch has been one of the most challenging things he’s gone through.Sean, who also shares two children with his wife Luned Tonderai, praised the support of his ITV colleagues who rallied around him following the news, as he put on a brave front and continued to work despite his heartbreak."I am heartbroken.

My lovely dog #Meg got out of our house, we think chasing a fox. She was hit by a car and died. We are all totally devastated," Sean wrote alongside a video clip of the two together and pictures of his dog Meg."She had been moved from the side of the road and placed by a tree with a small blanket covering her.

Thanks to the person who did that. I don’t know who you are but you need to know that what you did made it easier for my wife and children when they found her."The TV presenter added: "I spent so much time with Meg as I work from home a lot.

She often sat alongside me or on my feet when I worked. She was so loving and was always up for a cuddle, or a cwtch as we say in welsh.
