Susanna Reid, the familiar face of Good Morning Britain, has announced she'll be taking a short hiatus from the show. On Thursday's (April 3) episode at the ITV studios, Susanna greeted viewers with her co-host Ed Balls as they tackled the day's hot topics, including the lucrative underworld of counterfeit goods and President Trump's new tariffs on UK exports to the US.

As the programme drew to a close, Susanna and Ed chatted with pundits Ayesha Hazarika and Ed Vaizey before transitioning to Lorraine Kelly's segment.

In the final moments, Susanna disclosed her upcoming break, promising a swift return. "Susanna, we'll see you in a couple weeks time," Ed remarked as they concluded the broadcast. "See you in a couple of weeks, I'm going to go and spend some time off.

I will be back, do not fear," Susanna assured viewers, before passing the baton to Lorraine, reports the Manchester Evening News.
