Gogglebox stars say they're upset as they respond to news before series return

But viewers were left gutted to learn that two of their favourite participants won't be returning. Stephen Webb and his husband Daniel Lustig confirmed they would no longer be a part of the hit programme, which sees normal families across the UK casting their off-the-cuff views on the latest TV shows, films and breaking news.
Stephen has been a staple of the show for the last 10 years - since it first began back in 2013. He originally appeared on the programme with his former partner Chris Butland-Steed, who was replaced by Stephen's mum before his now-husband Daniel. They announced the news on Thursday (September 7) ahead of the new series beginning on Friday (September 8).
The married couple took to Instagram to tell their followers about their departure. The post read: "After careful consideration, Daniel and I have decided we will not be returning for the new series of Gogglebox.
