Gogglebox viewers were left cringing as longtime married couple Giles and Mary got into an awkward row over her crying during the latest episode of the Channel 4 hit show.

Journalist and author Mary Killen, who has been with her husband for decades, was hooked on the Channel 4 news at 10 when the news broke that Sir Bobby Charlton had sadly died.The football manager legend, who passed away at 86, left a legacy in the sports community, and Mary was fully invested in watching the tribute.

Becoming emotional over the loss, the TV star, who is based in Wiltshire with her husband, and introduced a new member of the family earlier this month, started to cry.

Suddenly realising his wife's show of emotion, Giles told his wife not to get carried away, but Mary was unimpressed by his approach. "Just let me feel my emotions," Mary suddenly snapped, as Giles attempted to touch his wife's arm.
