A Greater Manchester Police car burst into flames while officers were on patrol. Firefighters descended on Reddish, Stockport, at around 7pm last night (December 8) after a Ford Focus in GMP livery set on fire.
It's understood officers from a neighbouring district were carrying out routine enquiries in the area when the drama unfolded.
Witness Adam Howard told the Manchester Evening News: "A copper got out, knocked on someone's door. "He heard a bang, turned round, car in flames." The fire happened outside a house on Lindfield Road, near the junction with Betley Road.
