Good Morning Britain hosts Ranvir Singh and Sean Fletcher spoke to Doctor Karan Rajan on Monday's show. They discussed the recent death of Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman, who battled colon cancer for four years and died last week aged 43.
Dr Karan said that while such advanced cancer at that age is incredibly young, anecdotally he was finding his cancer patients were getting younger and younger.
Speaking via video link, he suggested the obesity crisis could be the reason for the increased rate in cancer in young people.
The news of Chadwick's death came just days after Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding, 38, revealed publicly that she was battling breast cancer that had spread to other parts of her body.
