Sir Elton Hercules John CH CBE (born Reginald Kenneth Dwight; 25 March 1947) is an English singer, songwriter, pianist, and composer. He has worked with lyricist Bernie Taupin since 1967; they have collaborated on more than 30 albums. Sir Elton John performed at Glastonbury last night (June 26) but his special guests left some fans disappointed.The legendary songwriter, who is currently embarking on his last tour, played the Pyramid stage at the festival last night (June 25) and was joined by a number of artists to help him sing some of his hits.

But some took to social media to share that they were not impressed. One person tweeted: #EltonJohn was very good but his special guests were a bit underwhelming & it was kinda weird that he did the Dua Lipa one in his own! #glastonbury2023”.

Another said: “They should have never mentioned Elton John having 4 “special guests” joining him as the rumoured guests were the likes of Taron Egerton, Harry Styles, Britney Spears, etc, "And we got 4 people who were underwhelming to say the least, compared to those names He didn’t need them”.

A third wrote: "I think it says a lot that I've been scrolling through the "Elton John" tweets on here for a few minutes now and am still to find out who any of his "special guests" were. #Glastonbury”.
