Fans were left questioning 'why' Kasabian couldn't have played a bigger stage as they made a surprise appearance at Glastonbury Festival 2024.
The Leicester band did actually confirm their set earlier on Saturday (June 29) after rumours about a possible stint. The rock band had not been announced as part of the festival’s line-up, and there had been a blank spot in the Saturday timings for the Woodsies stage between 6pm and 7pm.
They confirmed their set on social media earlier today, writing on X, formerly known as Twitter: "It’s Happening! See you 6pm at Woodsies @glastonbury." Kasabian also shared a video of the band’s members in a car and, an image of Glastonbury Free Press saying: "It’s happening, 18.00 Saturday." As they headed onto the stage, they opened with their 2004 debut album track, Club Foot, with frontman Sergio Pizzorno seen wearing an extravagant jean top and trousers, which boasted strips of clothing hanging from it.
