Sir Elton Hercules John CH CBE (born Reginald Kenneth Dwight; 25 March 1947) is an English singer, songwriter, pianist, and composer. He has worked with lyricist Bernie Taupin since 1967; they have collaborated on more than 30 albums. Arctic Monkeys and Guns N’ Roses have joined Elton John as this year’s Glastonbury headliners, co-organiser Emily Eavis has confirmed.

It had previously been revealed that Elton John would be closing the 2023 festival on the Sunday, but now it’s been announced that Arctic Monkeys will headline Friday on the Pyramid Stage, and Guns N’ Roses will make their first appearance at Worthy Farm on the Saturday, the Guardian reports.

It comes as Eavis addresses the issue of a line-up of all-male headliners for this year’s festival. Taylor Swift was among the performers tipped to perform at Glastonbury after she was due to headline the festival in 2020, but the star will be in the middle of her US tour when its set to take place.
