Glastonbury Festival 2020 has been cancelled in response to the coronavirus outbreak. Organisers Michael and Emily Eavis said they had been left with no choice but to make the decision which they warned would have severe financial implications.
A fallow year will now be enforced instead of the 50th anniversary celebrations that had been scheduled forJune. "Clearly this was not a course of action we hoped to take for our 50th anniversary event, but following the new government measures announced this week - and in times of such unprecedent uncertainty - this is now our only viable option," the Eavis' said in a statement.
