Glasgow's iconic museum dedicated to city life is to reopen to the public in just over one week's time following months of closure.
The People's Palace, located at Glasgow Green, closed in September 2021 so "essential building maintenance works" could be carried out.
Glasgow Live reports that local councillor David McDonald, the chair of council culture body Glasgow Life, confirmed a re-opening date of February 23 via his Twitter account.
Cllr McDonald said: "Very happy to confirm that the @PeoplesPalaceGL will be reopening (following recent repairs to internal plasterwork) on the 23rd of February."Next week's re-opening will mark the first time the museum will be open seven days a week since the pandemic struck. However, Scots are still awaiting news on the future of the adjoining Winter Gardens.
