Glasgow road closed off after two car crash

Two cars have crashed on a road in Glasgow, sparking an emergency response. The event took place on Keppochhill Road, which runs between Possilpark and Springburn in the north of the city, shortly before 4pm on Thursday, November 22.

Mercy crews, including Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene to assist the victims. It is unclear whether any of the drivers were seriously hurt or required hospital treatment as a result of the collision.Photos taken at the crash site, which were shared on social media by a nearby resident, show several blue-lit cop cars as well as at least two fire engines parked up at the spot where the smash happened.The affected area has been cordoned off, and uniformed officers stand in the middle of the road, patrolling the street and diverting traffic away from the incident.The road was initially locked down westbound from Carlisle Street to Coxhill Street, and buses were forced to re-route.

The road has since reopened.A probe is now underway. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 3.55 pm on Thursday, 24 November 2022, police received a report of a two vehicle crash on Keppochhill Road, Glasgow."Emergency services attended the scene and SAS are currently assessing both drivers those involved in the incident.
