A man who was brutally stabbed during the horrific Park Inn hotel attack in Glasgow almost two years ago says he is still ‘living with the trauma’.

Asylum seeker Mo was standing just metres from his room when he was knifed five times by Badreddin Abadlla Adam in June 2020.

The 28-year-old told STV News that he still has nightmares and is now taking medication in a bid to cope. His attacker, a fellow asylum seeker, was shot dead by police after stabbing six people including PC David Whyte.Another two asylum seekers and two members of hotel staff were also hurt during the terrifying rampage.Mo said: “The Park Inn incident is like a lifetime incident with me now.

I’m living with it, doing everything with it.“Even now when I’m sleeping, I’m having bad dreams at times.Mo, who has struggled to pursue a career in football coaching and development due to the medication that he’s now on, remains hopeful for a more positive future.He said: “I’m a footballer by the way, and I don’t think the situation will permit me to be a professional.“But at the end of the day, everything is possible by God so I keep praying so that I can make it one day.”Mo described the whole situation as “sad”, adding that he’s been “through hell and back”.He added: “The scars are there forever.”According to a leaked internal Home Office evaluation, the 28-year-old knife man contacted the Home Office and other organisations asking for help 72 times before the attack.The document, obtained by the BBC, also found that Adam had asked about an assisted voluntary return to his home country of Sudan.The Home Office said: "Since this horrific incident we have undertaken a number of significant changes to keep asylum seekers safe including how we, our contractors
