Glasgow cops rescue terrapin from Clyde and Forth Canal as they take 'shell-fie'

Glasgow rescued a terrapin from the Forth and Clyde Canal on Wednesday afternoon. Officers sprung to action and quickly removed the animal from the canal before handing it over to the SSPCA.

The poor terrapin could be seen in the water covered in moss before kindhearted officers rescued it. It was then wrapped in a pink towel and placed in a white cage as animal rescue charity the SSPCA stepped in to help.Glasgow North West Police posted about their encounter on Twitter and came up with some terrapin themed puns.Two photos of the animal were captioned "what the shell" as officers later joked they managed to get a "shell-fie".The post said: "What the shell …..
