Glasgow building fire LIVE as emergency crews look to bring blaze under control

Hello and welcome to the Daily Record's live blog as fire crews battle a blaze at a building in Glasgow city centre.The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a fire on Kingston Street in the Tradeston area of Glasgow, near the Barclays building, at around 9.55am this morning.Four fire appliances are currently in attendance as they look to bring the blaze under control.

A video from the scene shows white smoke filling the sky across the city centre.Stay with us for all the latest updates.Police Scotland have confirmed Kingston Street and other roads will be closed as the fire is dealt with.A statement said: "Due to a fire in Kingston Street, near the junction with Centre Street, a number of roads in the area are closed. "Local diversions are in place. "We are advising people to keep their windows closed due to the smoke and not to gather on the street.

SFRS are dealing with the fire."The Scottish Fire and Rescue service have confirmed there are no reported injuries after the blaze on Kingston Street.

Pictures from the other side of the River Clyde, taken by @_Inno on Twitter, show how much smoke has been billowing into the air.Some residents in the area woke to see smoke billowing from the scene.One told Glasgow Live: "I just got up and was shocked to see this much smoke and a fire near the Barclays building."It was started slowly and peaked within five minutes.
