Alex Ritman “Gladiator 2,” the long-awaited sequel to Ridley Scott‘s Oscar-winning epic, is set to begin its bloody campaign in London, where a global premiere will take place on Nov.
13. Paramount Pictures has teamed with The Film and TV Charity to make the world premiere a Royal Film Performance, a fundraising event that, as the name suggests, is often attended by royalty (the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were guests at the previous Royal Film Performance of “Top Gun: Maverick” in 2022).
While the film may be getting a screening elsewhere beforehand, Variety understands that the London premiere will mark its first major red carpet touchdown, attended by the cast and crew.
Landing 24 years after the 2000 original, “Gladiator 2” continues the epic saga of power, intrigue, and vengeance set in Ancient Rome.
