A mum has said she 'doesn't want her daughter to be the next Sophie Lancaster' after she was subjected to a vile attack on her way home from school.
Amelia-Paige was repeatedly beaten by another girl on the bus home, LancsLive reports. As the 12-year-old was hit, a group of school children held their phones aloft and filmed the horrific incident.
They shouted 'one more, one more, one more' as they continued to film. Police are investigating the incident, which happened on the bus home from the Valley Leadership Academy in Bacup in Lancashire. But Amelia-Paige's mum, Tyler Fitzpatrick, said she fears that young people 'have not learned lessons' from what happened to Sophie Lancaster.
Sophie was 20 when she died after being attacked by a group of teenage boys while walking through Stubbylee Park in Bacup in 2007 in an incident which was linked to Sophie's musical interests and how she dressed.
