Rangers are set to hold talks with Giovanni van Bronckhorst - but he wants assurances he will be able to move the Scottish champions forward.
The ex-Feyenoord boss is to meet with Rangers director of football Ross Wilson within the next 24 hours. Rangers have other names on their shortlist but the former Ibrox star is the front runner to succeed Steven Gerrard, who quit for Aston Villa earlier this week.
Another former Light Blue hero Rino Gattuso has also thrown his hat into the ring.
