Strictly Come Dancing professional Giovanni Pernice, 29, has said that Kevin Clifton, 37, regularly called him to praise him for helping to make Debbie McGee, 61, into the talented Ballroom and Latin dancer she became.

Kevin, who has now quit the BBC show, was paired up with Debbie for the Strictly Christmas Special last year and the dancing duo went on to win the trophy.However, Giovanni has insisted he “wasn’t jealous” to see his former partner dance with Kevin after he reached the Strictly final with the star in 2017.In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, Giovanni revealed: “I wasn’t jealous actually to be honest, I loved watching Debbie dancing with Kevin because Debbie is an incredible dancer and is a winner of Strictly Come.
