Giovanni Pernice's former BBC Strictly Come Dancing partner says she's been asked for evidence in investigation

Another of Giovanni Pernice's former partners on Strictly Come Dancing has said she has been asked to give evidence in an investigation into his teaching methods on the show.

Debbie McGee was partnered with Pernice when she took part in the dance competition in 2017, just a year after her husband, magician Paul McGee's, death in 2016.

The duo made it to the final but were defeated by Holby City actor Joe McFadden and his partner Katya Jones. Earlier this year, an investigation was launched by the BBC following allegations made about Pernice by former Strictly participant Amanda Abbington, with the results yet to be made public. The Italian dancer rejects the allegations. Asked if she has been approached to give evidence in the investigation, Debbie told GB News: "I don’t know if I’m allowed to say or not, but yes, I have.
