The Strictly bullying claims investigation verdict was revealed yesterday - with Giovanni Pernice and Amanda Abbington both claiming they were pleased with the outcome.The inquiry into the Sherlock actress' claims against Strictly Come Dancing dancer Giovanni concluded with an apology after upholding six out of 17 allegations.

One of them concluded that the Italian pro dancer did use swear words and "belittling" language. He also gave negative feedback to his former dance partner during rehearsals for the BBC show, and among the upheld complaints were claims of “isolated incidents where Giovanni swore or threw his hands in the air”.

One verified complaint described an incident where Giovanni supposedly made a crude gesture and comment, and even said to his dance partner he "wanted to f*** her".

A contact close to Giovanni suggested: "This was all done in jest and perceived in this way by Amanda," reports the Mirror. In their apology, the BBC expressed: "We have assessed the complaints and we have upheld some, but not all, of the complaints made.
