Giovanni Pernice is said to be "really annoyed" after his Strictly Come Dancing partner Amanda Abbington "didn't tell" him she was going to quit the BBC One show.

Amanda, 49, announced she'd made the decision to exit Strictly for "personal reasons" on Tuesday, 24 October, after missing the fifth live show on Saturday night, due to "medical reasons".

Amanda's professional dance partner Giovanni, 33, wished her well on social media, but behind the scenes he is said to be "frustrated" with the actress after he "barely heard from her for 10 days" and didn't warn him she was planning to quit. “Amanda didn’t tell Giovanni she had decided to quit the show.The first he heard was a call from a producer," an insider told the Daily Star.

The source continued: "This has really annoyed him. He’s barely heard from her for 10 days. She hasn’t been replying to messages or telling him what’s happening.
