Rose Ayling-Ellis isn’t afraid of stepping out of her comfort zone. The 27-year-old actress is the first deaf contestant to ever be on Strictly Come Dancing and the impact she’s had on the audience and the deaf community has been phenomenal.

She will take to the BBC ballroom alongside partner Giovanni Pernice for the final night later this evening, where they will dance their couple’s choice once again in a bid for the coveted Glitterball trophy.

The 10 seconds of silence in the pair's contemporary routine will be remembered as a stand-out moment in the show’s history, with judge Anton Du Beke describing it as the “greatest thing I've ever seen on the show", and it even earned them the 2021 Heat Unmissables Award for TV Moment of the Year.
