Gino D'Acampo has reportedly been left with a huge £5million bill following the collapse of his business My Pasta Bar.The grab-and-go style eatery launched in 2013 and then sadly entered into liquidation in 2022 after the Covid-19 pandemic forced the closure of the small chain.
It was previously reported that the closure of the business had left trade creditors owed £4.8m, HMRC £113,975 and staff £53,304.
And it's now been claimed that the money made from selling off the business had not been enough to pay off these debts. Despite earning an estimated £2million a year, Gino said in January 2022 that Covid forced him to close the small chain.
He explained: "About 10 years ago, I opened a business called Pasta Bar, which is serving Italian food very fast in the centre of London, three little shops. "And we tried for 10 years, and then Covid came around and I thought, do you know what?
