Gianluca Vialli's agent has lifted the lid on Rangers' pursuit of his client, revealing David Murray flew to Turin on a private jet in a futile attempt to sign the Italian.
The Gers were interested in the Juventus captain in 1996, with the Italian giants having made clear they wouldn't be keeping the striker.
After lifting the Champions League as captain Vialli joined Chelsea - but not before Murray had flown to Italy to try and get a deal done.
