Gethin Jones hits back at claims he misled fans with faux wedding photo 'on purpose'

The One Show presenter Gethin Jones, 43, has slammed claims that he sparked confusion amongst his 95,000 Instagram followers with his faux wedding photo “on purpose”.

It comes after Gethin caused a stir towards the end of last year when he shared a snap of himself wearing a gold band on his wedding finger.The post stunned fans, who were led to believe that the star had tied the knot.However, after spotting the reaction, Gethin clarified that he was in fact “still single” and was only wearing the ring as he had spent the day filming a Christmas advert with jewellery brand Clogau.Gethin has now admitted he got “rinsed quite a lot” following his mishap by people who claimed he had posted the picture deliberately, in order to spark a frenzy.
