Georgia Harrison said she “stands in solidarity” with other victims of revenge porn after her ex Stephen Bear was jailed for sharing a sex video of her online.The former Love Island star, 28, gave an emotional speech outside court on Friday (3 March) saying she has “no regrets” about waiving her right to anonymity in the trial and speaking out in support of other victims of similar crimes.
Her ex-boyfriend Stephen, 33, received a jail sentence of 21 months after filming a video of the then couple having sex and sharing it online, without Georgia’s knowledge or consent.
Outside court, Georgia said that she was “happy and relieved that this matter is finally over”. She said: “I want to let all other victims of this crime know that I stand in solidarity with them and I have absolutely no regrets on waiving my anonymity. “I hope that this puts anyone off committing this sort of crime and I hope for anyone else who has been victim of it [that] it gives them some sort of justice.” At a jury trial in December, Stephen, who found fame on MTV's Ex on the Beach, was found guilty on two counts of revenge porn and one count of voyeurism.Today the reality TV star was sentenced to 21 months in jail and has been ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register for ten years.
A restraining order was also handed down that prevents Stephen contacting Georgia for five years.The court heard how ex-roofer Stephen and reality star Georgia were captured having sex on CCTV cameras in Stephen’s garden on August 2 2020.
