Reality TV star Georgia Harrison has revealed that she is flooded with messages from fans who have also been victims of revenge porn. The former Love Island star has been widely commended for speaking out in the wake of her ex Stephen Bear's arrest and subsequent jailing, for posting a video of them having sex online without her consent.
He is now serving a 21-month prison sentence. Speaking on BBC’s Sunday With Laura Kuenssberg, Georgia today recalled how “multiple men” approached her saying they had seen the private sex video, before she discovered it had gone viral on the internet.
She told Laura that said going to court was “empowering”, and Bear’s conviction helped “validate” her experience – and she is now calling for a change in the law to make it easier for victims to get justice.
Georgia also said at least five women contact her every day to share their own revenge porn ordeal, warning it is “such a common thing”.
