Northern Quarter has been spray painted with a horrific racist word. The portrait of the American security guard, who died in Minneapolis after being forcibly held down by police officers, was targeted by vandals on Tuesday night.
Street artist, Akse, created the mural in Stevenson Square in the weeks that followed Mr Floyd's death on May 25. The painting was boarded up on Wednesday morning, after a shocking racist slur was dubbed across the artwork.
