Love Island departee George Fensom is missing the "villa banter" after being dumped from the show on Friday night. In what marked the summer series' first cast exit, the girls were asked to choose which lad they wanted to couple up with, but one by one the numbers dwindled, leaving the 24 year old partnerless at the end of the sequence.
Having struck up a bond with Jess Harding, her choice to chance things with newcomer Sammy Root did come as a slight surprise.
However, George seems in high spirits, and spoke of his return home in an Instagram post on Monday afternoon. "Been a mental first few days post villa, been great to get back home and catch-up with friends and family but missing the in villa banter with all the lads and girls," he wrote. "@loveisland 'Aftersun' last night and got to meet everyone in the studio and give them a bit of insider information from Mr Lasagne himself [heart and island emojis]." The Islander's new fanbase made sure to share their support in the comment column. "You were fab, gutted you left x", "Should’ve stayed tbh!!
Girls missing out", "You were fab! Completely yourself as well. Well done #BOSH", "My fav islander" and "Good to see you back @georgefensom onto bigger and better things now," read various replies.
