Winter Love Island runner up Tanya Manhenga has revealed some “weird” Love Island villa rules that contestants had to follow, from using the toilet to eating lunch.
Speaking on the Cocktails and Takeaways podcast, Tanya, 23, opened up about some aspects of villa life that viewers at home don’t get to see.
When asked if there were any house rules, Tanya revealed: “If you need to go toilet you have to ask.” She then explained that islanders are mic’d up constantly and so when they needed to go to the toilet they would simply speak into the mic and then a “voice” would let them know whether they were allowed to go or had to wait.
As all contestants have to agree to 24/7 filming, Tanya revealed that the one time islanders were allowed to take off their mic was when taking a shower and if they forgot to put it back on afterwards they would immediately be pulled up by producers.
