Former Showtime Networks and Paramount Pictures executive Geoff Stier is returning to the Melrose lot as the latter’s EVP of Production, reporting to Paramount Motion Picture Group Co-Presidents Daria Cercek and Michael Ireland.
Stier was recently at Showtimes Networks as SVP of Original Programming, however, from 2009-2017 he was an EVP of Production at Paramount Pictures during a time when he ushered in such great hits as 2010’s True Grit (one of the highest grossing westerns of all-time at $252M WW), World War Z ($540.4M WW), Oscar winner The Big Short, the Daddy’s Home franchise, Annihilation, Oscar winner Selma and much more.
At Showtime, Stier developed and supervised production on such recent Emmy nominated series as Ripley for Netflix, and the limited series Fellow Travelers for Paramount + as well as Paramount+’s Halo based on the Xbox video game.
Prior to his run at Showtime, Stier was head of U.S. production for Fabula, developing features and television programming for Chilean director Pablo Larraín’s banner.
