Rock band Genesis are reforming after 13 years - with the classic lineup of Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks. The group will announce their reunion today, after sparking rumours back in January when the trio were photographed together at a basketball game in New York.
Fans have been desperate for the band to reform since their successful 2007 tour to mark their 40th anniversary. They first split in 1996 so Phil could focus on his solo career.
Last June, Phil, 69, and Mike, 69, performed together at a concert in Berlin. It came during six live dates where Mike’s other project, Mike and the Mechanics, toured with Phil during his Still Not Dead Yet tour.
