Generation Z star Robert Lindsay feared he was dying amid life-changing health diagnosis
ok.co.ukRobert Lindsay opened up about the moment he was diagnosed with cancer just before he was set to perform in front of a live audience.The star of new show Generation Z had previously shared that he was filming the popular TV comedy My Family when he first received his diagnosis.
Lindsay was in makeup alongside his on-screen wife Zoe Wanamaker when he got the devastating news that he had prostate cancer. "She said, 'Right, OK, let's go on and be funny, and then we can talk about it.' I can't remember the recording at all.
It was in front of a studio audience 500, 600 people, cameras, lines, bang, bang, bang. All I could think was, I could be dying," he told the Guardian.
He further revealed: "I was monitored, and it came to the point where it was getting a little near to the periphery, and they can't help you after that.
