Gemma Atkinson thanked fans for turning up to the opening of a new Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary charity shop in Rawtenstall on Saturday (May 4).
The radio presenter said that so many people turned up that ‘the till crashed’. Bury-born Gemma has been the president of the charity since 2016 and officially opened the shop on Bank Street at 11am.
Posting a video on her Instagram stories afterwards, she thanked everyone for their support and added that “it means a lot”.
The 39-year-old told her followers: “It was such a good turnout, we didn’t expect that many people. “Literally at one point the till crashed - in a good way.
