Gemma Atkinson breaks silence amid claims of 'rough patch' with Gorka
ok.co.ukGemma Atkinson has spoken out following reports that she and Gorka Marquez are going through a ‘challenging’ time in their relationship, as the professional's dance commitments keep him away from his family.
The Mirror reported Gemma was left ‘frustrated’ after Gorka was unable to make it home during the final six weeks of Strictly Come Dancing despite being voted out the third week.
The busy Spanish-born dance pro has now also signed up to be a judge on Spain’s version of the show, Bailando con las Estrellas – which will see him spending most of his time in the European country.
But now Gemma has issued a public message of support to her other half. Posting a video of one Gorka's appearances on the show to her Instagram story, Gemma, 39, captioned the clip: "We're so proud of you." The Mirror also reported that Gorka’s busy work schedule means the couple have been unable to find the time to visit his parents in Bilbao with their son Thiago, who was born in July 2023.
