GB News host Dan Wootton breaks silence as he's cleared by police after six-month investigation

Dan Wootoon has been cleared by both the Metropolitan and Scottish Police following an investigation into claims of alleged criminal behaviour, which he had staunchly denied.

The allegations, which had been first brought to light by Byline Times, included creating bogus online identities and offering money for explicit material.

In July last year, the GB News host had admitted on air that he had made "errors of judgement", but fiercely rebutted claims that he had engaged in criminal acts.

After being cleared on all charges, Dan issued a public statement, which read: "I was brought up to trust in the English legal system; to believe in freedom, due process, natural justice and the rule of law the right of every man or woman to a fair trial, and the presumption of innocence until proven guilty in a court of law. "The accusations made against me were completely spurious lies designed to destroy my career where complainants were actuated by malice.
