Paul Gascoigne’s triumphs and tears all over again – on the big screen.A planned film will cover his career and also focus on his life off the pitch, including his alcohol addiction.Producers are using the maverick’s memoirs to craft the script, including Gazza: My Story – the book he wrote 16 years ago with biographer Hunter Davies.And they are already scouting for a big-money signing to play the former Ibrox ace, who also starred for Newcastle, Spurs and Lazio.Insisting the flick will tell his story, warts and all, Gazza said: “Let’s face it, I have nothing to hide.
It has all been in the press – the good and bad.”The announcement of the film plan comes as a documentary using footage from Italia 90, Euro 96 and his three years in Italy.
