Fans of Gavin and Stacey are gearing up for its anticipated return this Christmas, but during the festivities in 2018, Mathew Horne had a frightful ordeal.
When the actor, who plays Gavin Shipman in the BBC sitcom, was on his way back to his parent's house after a night out at the local pub, he was scarily hit by a train.The 46 year old actor was reportedly clipped by an East Midlands Trains passenger train in the village of Burton Joyce, Nottinghamshire on 20 December 2018 as he made his way home.Thankfully, the star miraculously escaped the incident with just a scratch.
Mathew was on his way home from a local pub, The Nelson, before he came into contact with the train.The pub’s duty manager told The Sun at the time: “It was a really, really unfortunate accident and it could have been a lot worse.
We are all glad that it wasn’t. “He was obviously very shaken up but he’s all right now. He’s got a bit of a scratch on him but no underlying issue there whatsoever.
