Gavin and Stacey's James Corden and Ruth Jones 'not finished' with sitcom as they delight fans with 2025 project

Gavin and Stacey stars James Corden and Ruth Jones have revealed that the show’s highly-anticipated Christmas special won’t be the last fans hear of the sitcom.

With the show last airing on our screens back in 2019, Gavin and Stacey is set to return to our screens once more with a highly-anticipated episode on Christmas Day.

And while it’s been dubbed as the finale by co-creators James and Ruth, it turns out there’s more to come from the sitcom. For fans of the show, the pair have written the book When Gavin Met Stacey and Everything in Between: A Story Of Love And Friendship, which will be released in autumn 2025.

The book will reveal how James, 46, and Ruth, 58, turned their idea into a show and will also feature never before heard gossip and behind the scenes insight. “We're so excited to be sharing the story behind the story of Gavin and Stacey,” the pair said. “The show has played a huge part in our twenty-five-year friendship and we hope this book will give readers a fresh insight into how it all came about.” With the Christmas finale just days away, star of the show Larry Lamb, who plays Gavin’s dad Mick Shipman, spoke to OK!
