Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has questioned how prospective investor Sir Jim Ratcliffe can 'feed five hungry beasts' amid the prospect of him securing a 25 per cent investment in the club.
Ratcliffe, who is a lifelong United supporter, is understood to be edging closer to securing a majority stake in the club and providing fresh investment.
He is now the frontrunner to provide the Reds with a cash injection after Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al Thani withdrew from the takeover race earlier this month.
Though nothing has yet been signed and sealed between Ratcliffe and the Glazer family, it has been reported elsewhere that the British billionaire will have a huge say in the direction the club takes on the pitch.
