Gary Neville thinks former Manchester United midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron never made it at Old Trafford due to the fierce competition for places in his position at the time.
Veron was signed by Sir Alex Ferguson from Lazio in 2001 for a then Premier League record transfer fee of £28.1m, but after just two relatively disappointing seasons he moved on to join Chelsea.
Despite his struggles United were still successful during the time Veron was at the club, with the side winning the Premier League in his second season, and speaking to Sky Sports Neville said he felt Veron joined at a time where the United midfield was arguably the best ever seen in the Premier League.
